Custodian Supervisor
The Dallas County Sportsplex has an opening for a Full-Time Custodian Supervisor.
Job Summary: This position works under the general direction of the Sportsplex Director. The employee will maintain the grounds of the Sportsplex and ensure that the buildings are in good working condition and up to code. The employee is responsible for making sure the ball fields and facilities are clean and safe for players and spectators.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must possess a valid Alabama driver’s license and be insurable by the county insurance carrier
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance preferred
- Ability to safely operate grass cutting/lawn care equipment
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to manage workload
- Ability to comprehend and implement all safety rules and requirements
- Ability to order equipment/tools according to purchasing procedure
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to endure prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
