Housing Manager

Dallas County Commission is seeking candidates for the position of Housing Manager at Jim Minor Garden Homes.  The Housing Manager directs and coordinates the daily operations of the Jim Minor Garden Homes apartment complex.  Responsibilities include employee supervision, coordinating property maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with housing laws and regulations, managing tenant lease renewals and property vacancies, handling the needs of tenants, collecting rent, preparing and managing budget, and maintaining accurate records of tenants, properties, transactions, inspections, and maintenance performed.  

Successful applicant must have previous experience managing properties and possess knowledge of housing laws and regulations.  Financial abilities are required to manage budget, handle rent collection, and oversee property expenses.  Must possess strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills. 

Must possess a valid Alabama Driver’s license and be insurable by the County insurance carrier.  High School diploma or GED certificate required.
