Vision Statement
The role of Dallas County Homeland Security and Emergency Management as a service is constantly expanding in scope and increasing in our commitment to the citizens of Dallas County. This agency recognized this commitment and will strive to provide this service to our citizens.
To effectively accomplish this commitment, Dallas County Homeland Security and Emergency Management must increase the partnership with our citizens, local government and businesses. We must work together as a unit dedicated to preserving life and property through the principals and practices of Preparedness, Response, Recovery and Mitigation.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Dallas County Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency is to serve the citizens of Dallas County through effective planning for natural and man-made disasters. Our goal is to save lives and to protect property through coordination with all emergency response organizations, support services and volunteers. We will support efforts to train and exercise emergency responders. We will manage and coordinate efforts to prevent some effects of disaster through training, exercises and mitigation projects. We will strive to reduce the impact of natural and man-made disasters. We are committed to effective management and coordination for a rapid recovery from disasters.
